Each year we team up with Bill Dragoo for two adventure motorcycling training tours. These tours are aimed at building skills in a fun and supportive environment. 2019 dates are: August 16-17 & August 18-19
We use the combination of a private closed course training area with town roads and trails in order to create safe, yet real world riding scenarios.
Attendees can expect to learn a plethora of new skills and have a whole lot of fun!
Bill Dragoo is the founder of the Dragoo Adventure Training School and has personally developed the training curriculum taught during this course.
Bill is one of only a handful of American instructors certified by the BMW International Riding Academy in Germany.
We begin day one on the private training grounds. This allows riders to focus on learning and building upon new skills without worrying about unexpected vehicular or pedestrian traffic.
The Jay Peak Resort is our home during the MotoVermont Off Road Training Tour. Jay Peak provides us with comfortable rooms, delicious evening meals and access to our skills/practice area and slope-side maintenance trails.
On Day two, we take our new skills to the trails! Together, the group rides a 75 mile dual sport route. Each significant obstacle is discussed and demonstrated. There are no "MUST DO" sections! Each trail and obstacle is "challenge-by-choice".
Can big bikes participate? Absolutely! Our instructor, Bill uses a BMW R1200GS for the event. Bike sizes typically range from 250cc to 1300cc.
Don't have a bike for this event? No Problem! MotoVermont has dual-sport enduro motorbikes for rent! We will have your rental motorcycle ready and waiting for you at Jay Peak.
We hope to see you at the 2019 Training Tour. August 16-17 & August 18-19
