Suspension Service and Fork Seal Replacement

Leaky fork seals are a serious safety risk and can suddenly ruin your ride or your trip. Maintaining fresh fluid and fork seals is essential for the longevity and function of your motorcycle forks.
In this workshop we will delve into a set of front forks. Together, we will drain, inspect, replace dust and fork seals, refill with fluid and reinstall on the motorcycle.

Clutch Replacement & Brake Maintenance
April 18, 2026. 10:00am
In this workshop we will be opening a clutch cover to measure and inspect clutch plates, lubricate lines, flush fluid or adjust cables and reassemble.
We will then turn to the braking system of the motorcycle; Brake fluid exchange, remove and check pads, lubricate slides and moving parts, reinstall and final adjustment.

Valve Adjustment and Leak-Down Test
April 18, 2026. 1:00pm
This workshop will have our group performing a valve check, valve adjustment and leak-down test on 2 motorcycles; a KTM 500 EXC and another yet to be determined. We will open up the top ends of both motorcycles and thoroughly check the health of the valves and cylinders. Clearances will be measured and necessary adjustments will be made using shims and other methods. The group will then perform a leak-down test to locate any issues and check the overall health of the engine

Tire removal, Tube change and Tire discussion
April 25, 2026. 12:00 Noon
During this 1.5 hour workshop, we will perform a wheel and tire removal and tube change. We will also discuss patching, plugging, tire wear, tools and which tires are best suited to different riding style.
